Who is David Shorey? I was born and raised in southern Maine and I am the son of a successful building contractor. I am a college graduate from the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor of arts degree in Communication, class of 1993 including a study abroad program at Nottingham Polytechnic, Nottingham, England. My wife Joanne and I moved from Portland, Maine to the Boston area in February of 1996. We have been blessed with a beautiful 7-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son and they are so much fun.
I am in my 12th year in real estate in Massachusetts and my 10th year with Re/Max working mostly in the Cambridge, Somerville, Boston, Arlington, Medford, Belmont, Brookline, Lexington, Melrose, Waltham and Watertown markets, as well as many others.
With significant experience in rentals, condominiums and multi-family homes sales, combined with ownership of investment properties in the Boston area, I can knowledgeably guide you through the investment buying process while also giving great tips on being a landlord and offer guidance for future condominium conversions.
With helpful resources in the carpentry, electrical and plumbing areas, I can offer speedy guidance during a difficult home inspection or provide a wonderful referral for your future home improvement projects.
I am currently an active member of the Greater Boston Board of Realtors, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and an active member of the Multiple Listing Service (MLS). I am an active member of the Council of Residential Specialist (CRS) recognized as the top producing residential Realtor organization in the country, and I have earned my designation by selling over $25,000,000 in sales over the past 5 years (only the top 4% of Realtors nationally qualify) along with the required course work.
I am a member of the Cambridge Community of Realtors as well as a member of the Real Estate Buyers Agent Council (REBAC) and have received my Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation, recognized in the industry as the top buyer agent designation. I am a graduate of the Leaders Choice Real Estate Program, which focuses on creative ways to help sellers market and sell their homes.
I am a 7-time consecutive member of the internationally recognized RE/MAX 100% Club which signifies annual gross income of over $100,000 and I continually enroll in courses offered by the Greater Boston Real Estate Board and from RE/MAX International.
My hobbies and interests are mostly in family time, supporting the professional Boston sports teams, golfing, listening to live music, playing guitar and singing, computers and reading.
